Kathleen Ligocki

Kathleen Ligocki is a serial CEO and an experienced board member and advisor.  Kathleen has significant governance background having served on boards at six public companies, seventeen private company/joint ventures, four universities, and numerous non-profits.  She currently serves as an Independent Director on the public boards of Lear Corporation (Fortune 200 auto supplier), PPG (Fortune 500 coatings company), and Carpenter Technology (specialty metals technology firm).  Kathleen also serves on the board of LRNE portfolio company Aperia Technologies.  She also serves as the Chair of the Board for Farmers Business Network, a venture capital-backed firm in the ag-tech sector.  She is a board member at the Indiana University Foundation.

As a CEO, Kathleen led four innovative early-to-growth stage venture capital backed companies (Agility Fuel Solutions, Harvest Power, Next Autoworks, GS Motors) and one Fortune 1000 public company (Tower Automotive).  Kathleen also served as an Operating Partner at Kleiner Perkins Caufield & Byers, one of Silicon Valley’s top venture capital providers, working with the firm’s sustainable industrial technology ventures on strategic challenges, scaling operations and commercialization.  She brings 40 years of global executive experience including Ford, United Technologies and GM where she led operations in the Americas, Europe, Africa, Middle East, Russia, India and China.

Kathleen earned a B.A. with highest distinction from Indiana University Kokomo and holds an MBA from the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania where she was a GM Fellow.  She also has been awarded honorary doctorate degrees from Indiana University Kokomo, Central Michigan University, and Oakland University.
