Alexander Mishkin is a Managing Director with responsibility for deal sourcing, execution and overall fund management. He joined Lime Rock in 2017, and he brings to this role a career in new energy, generalist investing, finance, and law. From 2015 to 2017, Alex served as Deputy Executive Director and then Acting Executive Director of the Loan Programs Office at the U.S. Department of Energy. In that capacity, he was responsible for a $30 billion portfolio of existing clean energy technology investments, as well as originating new loans from four loan programs designed to support the commercialization of innovative technologies spanning the automotive, nuclear, hydrocarbons, and renewables industries. From 2010 to 2015, Alex was a technology executive and investor, focused on the health care sector. Before that, he spent five years as a buy-side credit, distressed and equity analyst, focused on energy and other sectors, at Fortress Investment Group and SAB Capital Management. He began his career in finance with six years in the mergers & acquisitions group of Credit Suisse. Alex is a graduate of Yale University (B.A.) and Yale Law School (J.D.)
