What Does Electric Power Engineers Do?

Provides specialized power systems engineering services around the integration of renewable energy and storage into transmission and distribution systems. EPE’s services include energy resource integration and interconnection, transmission and distribution planning and operations, grid modernization and distributed energy resource integration, systems design, energy market analysis and feasibility studies, and regulatory compliance. In addition, EPE has opened a Center for Energy Innovation at the University of Illinois Research Park to design solutions for renewable energy, including solar, wind, and battery storage solutions.
