The core impact metric that we track and report on for every investment is greenhouse gas emissions including Scope 1-3 CO₂ emissions as well as avoided CO₂ emissions, commonly known as Scope 4 emissions. LRNE works with each of our partner companies to develop a comprehensive framework for measuring avoided CO₂ emissions and uses this data to report both annual and cumulative carbon emissions avoidance in addition to Scope 1-3 emissions.
In addition to monitoring and measuring emissions-related impact, we also track and report on other critical impact metrics such as board and employee diversity, and job creation at our investments. LRNE actively works with each of our partner companies to help expand their positive societal impact.
Each investment is also mapped against the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals, not only at the high-level goal, but including individual SDG targets and indicators.
